Accessibility

All Menil Collection buildings have accessible entrances.

The main parking lot (1515 West Alabama Street) has accessible parking. Those visiting the Dan Flavin installation at Richmond Hall (1500 Richmond Avenue) can find accessible parking in the building’s lot.

A limited number of wheelchairs are available for visitor use inside the museum’s buildings.

Trained service animals on a leash and under their owner’s control are welcome. Pets and emotional support animals are not allowed in the museum’s buildings.

Group Visits

The Menil welcomes groups of visitors, but does not offer guided tours nor allow public lecturing in the galleries. If you'd like to schedule a visit, please notify us one week in advance, by calling 713-525- 9400.

School groups must provide one adult chaperone for every ten students.

The bus drop off is located at the main entrance, 1533 Sul Ross Street. Buses may park along Mulberry Street only.

Arriving at the Menil Collection

Parking lots are located at 1515 West Alabama Street and next to Richmond Hall at 1500 Richmond Avenue. Street parking is also available.

Bike racks are located at 1515 West Alabama Street.

METRO bus stops are located along Richmond Avenue and Montrose Boulevard.
