Curator Talk: Danielle Smotherman Bennett on Shining Light on the Past, Chryssa, and Ancient Art

The artist Chryssa identified strong associations between her works of art, particularly the Cycladic Books series, and ancient works of art. Join Danielle Smotherman Bennett, Curatorial Associate, for a look at those connections and revisit the arts of the Ancient World gallery through a modern lens. The discussion will include ancient objects with subjects, materiality, textures, and the interplay of light that resonate with works by Chryssa currently on view in Chryssa & New York.
