When The Art Speaks: Outspoken Bean, Russell Guess, Adriana, Myaan, and Samiyah

When The Art Speaks, curated by Outspoken Bean, Houston Poet Laureate Emeritus, invites audience members to delve deep into the enigmatic ‘whys’ that art elicits within us, unraveling the profound connection between art and life. Prepare to be moved by poetry performances from Outspoken Bean and the talented Brave New Voices 2023 poetry slam champions Adriana, Myaan, and Samiyah.

Their words will amplify the emotions and narratives embedded within the works in Longing, Grief, and Spirituality: Art Since 1980.

Throughout the evening, original music underscored by Russell Guess creates an immersive atmosphere that harmoniously blends with art, poetry, and conversations.
