Menil Society Preview: “The Curatorial Imagination of Walter Hopps”

Menil Society members are invited to celebrate the opening of The Curatorial Imagination of Walter Hopps. The show, which features approximately sixty artists and more than 130 artworks, will explore the influential curatorial vision of Hopps, the Menil Collection’s Founding Director.

Join Clare Elliott, Associate Research Curator in exploring the artist’s distinctive approach to exhibition making, and appreciation for a variety of 20th-century art movements, including drawings, paintings, photography, and sculpture, ranging from the 1930s to the early 2000s.

Members are also welcome to enjoy a first tasting of Hopps Hopps Hopps, a limited-edition beer created in collaboration with Eureka Heights Brewery in celebration of the exhibition.

RSVP by March 13, events@menil.org.
