Member Noontime Talk: Mina Gaber on Matting and Framing

Matter and framer Mina Gaber will present on an historic frame from the Menil’s collection. Gaber found what may be an original frame for Anthony van Dyck’s painting Saint Rosalie Interceding for the Plague Victims of Palermo, ca. 1625. She will discuss her discoveries about the frame’s history and the fascinating restoration process she undertook to prepare it for display.

Held twice a month on Fridays for a small group, Member Noontime Talks make exhibitions more intimate and reveal the collection as never before. To sign up, please RSVP to membership@menil.org. If you are not currently a Menil Member, you can learn more and join here.
