Menil Society members are invited to celebrate the opening of Walter De Maria: Boxes for Meaningless Work. This exhibition is the first ever to survey the artist’s more than fifty-year-long career. Highlighting De Maria’s varied and innovative approaches to media and scale, the exhibition will include a large group of conceptual drawings, photography and sculptures.
Join Michelle White, Senior Curator for a walkthrough as she discusses the artist’s exploration of perception, space, the forces of nature, and the concept of the sublime.
