Curators Lecture with Paul Davis on Art of the Pacific Islands

The Pacific Ocean and its more than 20,000 islands comprise one of the most expansive and culturally diverse regions of artistic production in the world. On the islands Ambrym and Malakula, Ni-Vanuatu peoples make monumental, brightly-colored figures and instruments to accompany important ceremonies.

Please join Curator of Collections Paul R. Davis for a conversation about these powerful works from the Vanuatu archipelago.
