In October 1968, Sol LeWitt produced his first wall drawing and thus began a career-long commitment to the form. Erica DiBenedetto, predoctoral fellow at the Menil Collection and the Morgan Library & Museum, considers work that led to that important moment, focusing on the relationship between LeWitt’s art and architecture.
