The Modern Body: Picasso and the Ballet Russes

Through dialogue, video, and live demonstration, Houston Ballet soloist Oliver Halkowich and independent critic and journalist Theodore Bale discuss the choreography of the human body in Parade, 1917, and Le Tricorne, 1919. The two modern ballets have designs by Pablo Picasso and were choreographed by Léonide Massine for the Ballets Russes in Paris.
