Michelle Donnelly: Stamped, Rubbed, Imprinted: Drawing and Impressions of Place

Michelle Donnelly, the 2023–24 Menil Drawing Institute Pre-Doctoral Fellow, explores how artists have used drawing to engage with questions of place. Through processes such as stamping, rubbing, and body printing, they actively contended with the sociocultural and political histories of their sites of production.
