Menil Contemporaries Film Screening of “Max Ernst Hanging”

Menil Contemporaries are invited for a special film screening of Max Ernst Hanging (1973).

This documentary shares an intimate glimpse into the process of making the exhibition, Inside the Sight, organized by Dominique de Menil at the Institute for the Arts, Rice University. Including rare moments captured by filmmaker Francois de Menil, follow Mrs. de Menil in conversation with Max Ernst, the 20th-century Surrealist artist, and see the events that transpire from installation to opening party.

The screening will take place outdoors at the West Main Green lawn at the Menil Drawing Institute. Picnic blankets or lawn chairs are encouraged and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

RSVP to Kim Vera by September 20, events@menil.org.
