In this talk, Brett Littman will highlight The Drawing Center’s new programming philosophy and curatorial decisions that have shaped the institution’s upcoming programming. An in-depth look at a wide range of issues facing the medium will be explored including: what is the relevance of drawing in contemporary culture, how does one define the activity of drawing today, and what does it mean to expand the discussion of drawing to encompass the disciplines of architecture, design, music, science, and dance alongside the visual arts.
