Spanning from the prehistoric era to the present day, the Menil Collection grew out of personal and intellectual passions rather than encyclopedic ambitions. The heart of the collection artworks and objects gathered by founders John and Dominique de Menil.
The collection now stands at nearly 19,000 works and continues to grow. The Menil is committed to deepening its relationships with artists already in the collection and augmenting its holdings in ways that resonate with the sensibilities of the collection and the museum’s mission.
